Equity Financing

Hunter Finance provides equity finance for property developers in return for a share of the development’s profit. We take an equity stake in residential projects with experienced developers in the South East of England.

Developers must also invest their own money in the project and must be able to demonstrate a track record of building similar houses to budget and on time.

Hunter Finance’s equity financing to experienced property developers is a straightforward way for developers to raise funds for residential property projects. By combining our development expertise with investment capabilities, Hunter Finance can help developers maximize their returns while minimizing risk.

What we look for in our partners

It is expected that you are an experienced property developer with a residential property project in the South East of England. Our preference is to provide equity finance for projects that involve units with four or less bedrooms. Property developers must have a proven track record of experience in these types of projects with case studies to showcase your capabilities.

Please note that we do not offer equity finance to first-time developers or fund commercial properties. We ask that our equity funding partners have experience relevant to the project for which they are seeking investment. For example, you may have previously built a terrace of five houses or similar.

What is Equity Financing?

Equity finance is a method of raising capital by selling shares in a project to investors in exchange for part ownership of the development.

Here are some reasons why you might consider using equity funding to fund a residential property development:

  • Sharing of risk: When you use equity finance, you are essentially sharing the risk of your project with your investors.
  • No debt obligations: With equity finance, you are not taking on any debt obligations. This means that you will not have to make regular interest payments or worry about paying back a loan. Instead, your investors will receive a share of the profits when the project is completed.
